PCI was inspired by the need to create awareness about the value, benefits and power of coaching and leadership development in Southern Africa and the imperative for organisations to embed this in their culture to develop and support leaders who have a strong disposition to generate sustainable solutions for their life, career, leadership, workplace and societal challenges.

What we do
We deliver internationally accredited coach-training programmes that set all those aspiring to become professional coaches on a path to practice as internal coaches in their organisations, or as external coach practitioners, or acquire coaching skills for adoption as their leadership style.
We also offer coaching and leadership programmes to decision makers who seek to embed coaching and mentoring as part of their organisational culture as a deliberate and intentional effort to consistently support their employees to be the best they can be and maximise their performance at all levels of the organisation.
Tamala Chirwa
Primary Coach
Tamala Chirwa, MBA, PCC is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Professional Certified Coach and Registered Mentor Coach with over 20 years of leadership experience across Malawi, South Africa, and Kenya. She specializes in Executive Leadership and Group & Team Coaching, partnering with senior leaders globally to strengthen emotional intelligence, team performance, and leadership impact. Tamala serves as a Senior Expert with WAN-IFRA WIN and sits on coaching panels for the Kofi Annan Global Health Leadership Programme, the Obama Foundation Africa Leadership Programme, and the Centre for Creative Leadership’s Women Lift Health Programme. She is the Founder and Principal Coach of the Professional Coaching Institute (PCI) and holds an MBA from MANCOSA.
